SKYPE PROXY FOR MAC MAC
I have proof of this with TCPDumps on the Mac showing the Client attempting to use the connection that has been put into a CLOSE_WAIT or CLOSED state.ĮTG-GSS-MBP:Library gss2002$ lsof -p 51734 | grep IPv4 | grep CLOSED | wc -lĮTG-GSS-MBP:Library gss2002$ lsof -p 51734 | grep IPv4 | grep CLOSE_WAIT| wc -lĮTG-GSS-MBP:Library gss2002$ lsof -p 51734 | grep IPv4 | grep ESTAB| wc -lĮTG-GSS-MBP:Library gss2002$ ps guaxww | grep -i skype
Skype eventually tries to use theseĬonnections in CLOSED/CLOSE_WAIT state which causes degredation in the application. I noticed many connections end up in CLOSED or CLOSE_WAIT and continue to pile up over time.
Skype for Business on Mac has seemed to have issues handling connections outgoing when firewalls and proxy servers are involved.
